Amsterdam is hosting WorldPride 2026 from July 25 to August 8, marking the first time the global LGBTQIA+ event takes place in the Dutch capital. The celebration coincides with the 25th anniversary of the world’s first legal same-sex marriage, which took place in Amsterdam in 2001. The nine-day festival features over 300 events.
WorldPride Amsterdam is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world, making it one of the largest celebrations of LGBTQIA+ rights in 2026. The event features the iconic Canal Parade, concerts, and a human rights conference addressing challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ communities worldwide.
