Mana Jampala, 12, from Kelowna, British Columbia, taught herself Python at age 9 and built Voxa, an AI receptionist now used by businesses in Canada, India, and Cambodia. The platform handles calls, books appointments, and records orders 24/7, solving a problem she noticed at her father’s workplace.
Mana used AI coding tools to build the system, breaking the project into testable pieces. She received the 1517 Medici Project grant for young founders. Her story challenges assumptions about what young people can achieve and has inspired students worldwide to explore coding and entrepreneurship.
